Re: Best recent Bourgognes

heya folks...whats the drinking window for a bourgogne rouge from a respected producer? 2012 and 2014...are these past their prime at this point? have a good price on these two vintages and just was hoping for some guidance as to whether its worth it...i think the '14 is still fine but '12?

Re: Wine pairing with music

i always have music on...wine consumption plays no real role in what music i have on though an expansive, new age-y album from ECM records does work well. particularly some terje rypdal. my first love has always been music since i was 10-12 years old. the same feeling of digging in the record bins w...

Slightly off-thread, but I am wondering if our scheduled late October trip to Milan and Piedmont will be viable. Given all the area has gone through, I would love to show my support with my tourism dollars, but this also might be right in time for Dr. Fauci's fall resurgence. [cray.gif] So far we a...

Running low on our “daily drinkers” here in nyc, I opened a 2016 serraboella Barbaresco from barale expecting it to be way too early but my god, what an enjoyable bottle.

Picked up 3 from Astor wine for some ridiculous price and wished I bought a case.

Utterly appalling customer service at Côte, which ended up with me paying $65 for the “privilege” of opening my bottle of wine and not having any food. Can’t recall an experience this bad in NYC, will not be back. Wow, totally weird. I sure hope you didn’t pay at the bar for them to open up your bo...

First post but since my wife and I were there just two months ago, I'll share that St. Remy is an excellent base for Provence. We stayed at Hotel de Tourrel for 5 nights and it was perfect to go north to Chateauneuf du Pape and Gigondas, southwest to Arles, East to the Luberon towns, etc... We LOVED...
