Re: The Bourbon Thread

Legent-any one heard of or tried it? It's a Bourbon collaboration between Fred Noe of Jim Beam and Shinji Fukuyo of Suntory. I picked one up and tried it last night. Not amazing, and it seemed like I could tell the influences of Bourbon and Japanese whisky on it. Not too hot, pretty well polished fr...

Seattle has the 2008 DP now. $135. But we have sales tax here. And it's not small.
Come on, it's only 10.1%, a pittance compared to our spirits taxes.
Yeah, our spirits tax is insane. Appropriate this discussion is in the Costco thread as they are responsible for it.

Wow Fantastic bottle, great length with amazing mouthfeel and it goes on forever. Dry finish but still lasts minutes, this is one of the greatest bottles ive ever tasted. I find it hotter and less interesting than my "house" Eagle Rare 10. But that may be batch related rather than a general rule. I still drink it and mix drinks with it and will continue to do so until my bottle(s) are empty.

I don't know if you can fit Antelope Canyon in there, but I'm dying to go there myself. Just got back from Grand Canyon last weekend. I (and the family) had a great time-Shoshone Point is a nice little walk that was much less crowded than others. We stayed overnight in Sedona on our way there and wo...

I don't know the answer to the question, because there isn't really one, but I drank a 2017 Walter Scott Pinot Noir Combe Verte over the past 2 nights and it was a great $25 bottle. And then I bought a bunch of 2017 Walter Scott svds for way more than that. Not a coincidence.
