I think that the people who make white burgundy have mostly changed their practices and such. I think you are fine with anything from 2010 forward. That being said, I have not really tasted much of older white Burgundy

We are absorbing some of the costs of the tariffs and we are also raising prices on some sku's as well. It is not going to bode well for the average consumer who will cringe when their Sancerre goes up by $6-8 per bottle

Unfortunately, the seepage got to this, very little if anything on this. Some secondary or perhaps tertiary characteristics on the palate, but otherwise at 21% it is nothing more than a sweet dessert wine. I think I purchased this at auction. Oh well.

I think consumers are definitely going to notice this especially since their Savingnon Blanch from Sancerre will be raised; some consumers might not care while others will look elsewhere.

So I started to sell a portfolio that is 95% French wine, bad timing? [head-bang.gif]

Wine shops are commenting that due to their markup they might pass, but restaurants which seem to have a higher markup are having the opposite affect. Will see how this plays out over time.

Being sold locally for $109.00, I have read that it is one of the stars of the vintage. Considering it is a birth year wine for my son, thinking about the purchase, but would defer to the more seasoned Bordeaux tasters on the board.

Since I have only started collecting for aging myself This seems pretty important. If you still don't know what you like or how badly you love older wine, and you haven't had some of those mentioned, it seems pretty strange to load up on something and sit around for twenty five years waiting to try...
