I almost always buy from K&L, and when I do I always ship next day priority. $90/case, so $7.50/bottle. It arrives by 10:30 (I ship to a FedEx office in DC) and by 11am it’s home in my wine fridge. I order mine through Costco. The source is Plaza de Caviar. Costco are incredible. Though it looks like they are no longer selling their three packs of 2oz. Bulgarian at $60 off (which amounted to $31.xx/ ounce!) the price is still amazing.

wanted to resurrect this with a cool new shipping thing. my shipment from D'Artagnan came in a "cooler" made out of strips of biodegradable and toxin-free-burning packing peanut like sheets. it insulated really well (all frozen items were still frozen) and provided plenty of cushion during transit....

Buying from the west coast, I always ship priority overnight. Arrives by 1030am to the FedEx in DC (in MD so not many ship to me,) I’m there by 11 to pick it up, and it’s in my cellar by 1130. Honestly given the fact that there’s no tax and the tax rate is about 10%, it’s not a huge deal to spend $5...
