Re: Qupe Syrah rock-bottom deal on Groupon

Yes mine do not say estate bottled on the front and it’s 14.5%. Well, at least my friend just crushed a bottle and said it was great. So maybe we should all try a bottle before we get too upset.

Re: Qupe Syrah rock-bottom deal on Groupon

I just compared the labels against a 2013 magnum. The back Of the 2013 has a quote from bob lunquist. The 2016 does not.

The 2013 mentions Qupe is in Santa Maria.
The 2016 says arroyo grande.

Columbia crest based on the syrah being “Wine spectator top 100 wines in early 2000’s”. #31 in was 2002 List. Cougar crest-probably too small of a winery. Columbia crest has massive production.

Re: de Negoce offer

I really liked the 2017 and 2018 Garbro Chardonnays. I still have another 2018 at home which drank well immediately upon release. I split this case 3 ways with 2 friends. At $13 per bottle with shipping and tax for a good chardonnay, you can't go wrong with that, provided it's what we think it is. A...

as Neal mentioned, indeed $190 at Envoyer. I give up for now. Maybe it will drop big time in the next 6 months, but doubt it gets down in the $120 range where it could be interesting.

Funny the 2007 can be had for $110. Almost double for 2008. I’m sure it’s better, but this is gouging. I think I’m never buying Tattinger again. They pigged out it seems.

2018 was such a huge harvest. Sure, maybe the winery had some extra barrels to sell. I’m sure it wasn’t their finest barrels and since they don’t have a second label this is a convenient way to get rid of it. That’s most likely what we are consistently getting if it’s not the “winery’s blends”. We a...

So our favorite critic scored it 98 on two separate events. I’m excited, provided the price is “reasonable”. Most likely it will come out initially expensive and then work its way down. This is a high production wine. Lots to go around and minimal Restaraunt purchases
