Great advice on the reservations. We are still too far in the future to book any dinners but definitely are following the calendar. Most are only available 2 months in advance. We are still open to more suggestions......awesome stuff so far!

Made a reservation for "Bordeaux.".........new on Magazine and if we have time, I have heard good things about "Gris Gris." In addition, we will try Bywater Bistro for the first time. When are you coming? Most of the best restaurants in Oslo are closed most of July. I think Maaemo opens for reservations three months in advance, Frantzén accepts reservations two months in advance, and you need to be early,to get a table, especially if you are two persons. Jeff; We visited recently and tasted the 2016 and 2015 vintages. We didn’t try the 2017 but to me it is a no brainer. John: It works. We make pesto "ice cubes" and freeze them for use during the winter. The only ingredient we leave out is the pine nuts which we add at the time of use.

As far as hotels, we loved the Corinthia. Not in the older section of town but still very convenient and FWIW, very easy to get to and from airport.
