My app says 77, but these are just wines out of my cellar. I'd say at least double that drinking with family and friends. It was a down drinking year with my wife pregnant. Good news, wines are aging, bad news, running out of storage space again.

Just received the release email at 9:34, it was probably stuck in a queue. Logged in around 0900 PST and promptly ordered 2 cases. These wines are so easy to order and the 2018 vintage is an excellent one. Going to be a very full cellar in the next few months with new additions.

$90 each, $80 each if you buy 6. They also have their NV cab 16' cab for $45 each. We've been drinking quite a few older bottles of Neal lately and these all age very well.

Got an offer from Neal Family yesterday for their Howell Mountain Cab. This is a great QPR but comes in a year where I need to cut back on buying. Might have to come back to this one in a few weeks to see if any prices have jumped elsewhere for wines I have on my buy list.

Wine definitely goes through phases as it ages. It is helpful to have some type of history with the wine to know or best guess when to drink it. I'd rather not drink a wine too young or too late. Buy less overall wine than 2019. Continue to be patient aging my collection. Less trips to Napa this year will definitely help me achieve this goal. There will be some tough no buys on mailing lists just trying to scale back.

I'd much rather prefer a sit down tasting at the winery than a tasting room in the city. Probably one of my favorite tastings this year was in Tom Altemus' home at Red Cap. That one on one time and attention got him a nice order and a customer for a long time to come.
