I would be hesitant to dine indoors. There are places with outside dining but it's pretty hot and humid right now. Check the Washing Post site and www.donrockwell.com
Lots of good places offer takeout so it might be safer to go that route.

I've had both 06 Poggione and Poggione riserva fairly recently. Much more wood on the riserva so not ready I guess and to my palate, the jury is still out on whether it's worth the extra bucks.. I think you can find nice brunellos under $50 and I'm not sure it's a wine I want to get into paying 3 fi...

Many moons ago, I was offered the 82 and/or the 85 for around $250 a case in wood. I drank a bottle of each and bought the 85. Long gone but I liked it.

You need to make sure all the air in the tank is bled so you can get a full tank. The guys at my local U Haul will do it is asked. I never trade tanks.

I was quite disappointed that the Washington Post's wine critic chose Kapon of all retailers to interview about covid's influence on his business. Wasn't he aware of Kapon's knowing involvement with Kurniawan?

I've had this twice recently. One bottle exhibited strong bell pepper flavors, so much that I found it almost undrinkable. The other bottle did not show these traits at all and was quite pleasant. So, I'm confused.

The 2005 La Lagune I drank last year was excellent though it needs years. Could be a top vintage for them, up there with the 82 and 90.

Greek wines really have a sense of place, a big plus in my book. I will go along with the idea that indigenous grapes are more interesting than using international ones in most cases but they can be interesting as a blend component.

Allset in Silver Spring is $10pb. I'm not sure about if it's limited. Evidently, there is some kind of law in MoCo that says you can't have more than two bottles on the table at the same time? Is this true? Food last night was very good overall and reasonably priced.
