Re: What are your wines of the 2010s?

Well, maybe I'm remembering a bottle but I think that my best of the decade have all been drunk in 2019 (youth has its perks ?). - 1990 Grand Puy Lacoste : found this bottle on the French craigslist, wanted to taste a big, mature Bordeaux from a touted year. I split the cost and the bottle with a fr...

Re: Your top 5 vintages of Pichon Baron 1990 - 2010 on?

Pontet Canet 2003 is an absolute gem though. Rightfully touted as one of the best bottles of the vintage and one of the best years of PC. I just had Pichon Baron 2010 (and Pichon Comtesse 2009) at a tasting and I was similarly impressed (by both wines) as other Berserkers in this thread. It was my f...

My guess is that the seller mistakenly put the price of a 75cl bottle instead of the Magnum price. I'll share the case with a friend, hope he'll find another opportunity like this next time [highfive.gif]

That's Beaucastel for sure, I just tasted 2006 and 2017 last weekend :). I'm a bit surprised by the green though.

As for the cuvée ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Seems to be written something across the crest so either Hommage à Jacques Perrin or the white VV.

For a more immediate enjoyment, glou-glou wine, Gerin made a beautiful La Champine in 2016. Less than 10 euros and great and fresh Syrah there, can't recommend it enough.
