RN74 is $25/bottle with a soft two bottle limit. Bottle three and up are $50/ea. They won't open anything that's on their list which is fair.

To capture the compelling combination of complexity, freshness, tension, fruit and firm yet refined tannins, open them up eight to 15 years after the vintage. This is effectively what they advised on my recent trip to Vietti. Sure, you could wait decades, but it's going to be great about 10-15 year...

2008 Petit-Le Brun Champagne 2008. A solid buy from Garagiste. I don't know that I'd get more, but I'm happy with it and I'll keep my second bottle around for another 5+ years before drinking.

Picked up some NV Henriot Brut Souverain recently. This batch had a bit of matchstick on the nose, and in my head it's sort of like the answer to "what kind of champagne would Goodfellow or Walter Scott produce?"

LGD and Rose are excellent.
Forgot to mention the vintage Veuve rosé. It's one of the few rosé champagnes I like. The 08 is just stunning right now.

Jim - according to Cellartracker, that bottle goes for around $85-90. Enough to give one pause but not enough to convince Domaine Serene to hike their prices to stay on top again.

I've pivoted on the lamb slightly - going to bring a garlicky roasted leg of lamb sandwich, since that will still go great with the wines, but be a lot easier to eat, and a lot less cleanup for everyone.
