Chris, I suggest you move on if you have a problem with this posting.

And yes, I did (and still do) want to find out more about DRC. I just realized after a little research that it would be better to offer this to someone who will appreciate it more than me, the wine newbie.

Re: Have your best wine experiences been with white or red?

Another thread raised the question of which type of wine, red or white, is more likely to provide the most memorable wine experience. While I've had some amazing and memorable wines of both types, I think I've had more with white wines than with reds. I'm tempted to say that the highest highs are r...

Re: 2015 DRC Wines

You can ask Halpern's to get on their list as well, so you don't have to play the lottery. 15's are long sold through, but you can ask. You should expect to spend some other $ with them as well. They should get a larger volume of '17's in a few years, so you never know. Vuk - Are you suggesting you...

Re: 2015 DRC Wines

I know the vintages are quite important when it comes to high-end wines. What is the vintage like for 2015 DRC wines? Is it a good year to have or are there better vintages to look for? They just released this in Ontario and I have never seen it here before. they released on a lottery basis tho rig...

That's decent. The sad thing is, anything less than secondary valuation is now considered a solid deal. :(

Thanks everyone for sharing. Unlike some people, I am perfectly capable of staying away from any kind of booze during the day. Don't need it - and it doesn't go down well actually. But the trouble starts when it gets dark... oh boy, I'm a different person then. If I don't cave in the end, the thing ...

Being a stay-at-home dad really changed my habits... right now, only 2 glasses on Fridays and Saturdays

Whatever the reason - I'm happy I'm not killing bottles anymore like there's no tomorrow [training.gif]

Abbaye des Rocs Grand Cru - exceeded expectations.
Had one a month or so ago and it was amazing. It had a few years of age on it and it changed into something closer to a port.
Sounds wonderful! Belgian monastery brews do change with time.

No need to look any further than Lot 40 Cask Strength.

The only rye I like more is 2013 Sazerac 18 but, well, that's not gonna happen.

First post, usually stick to table wines... and then got allocated 2015 DRC St. Vivant recently... Now I'm on a quest to find out more about it well that's fortunate! Or not! Once again it showed - if you want to win a raffle, it's better to completely forget about it after you enter [dance2.gif]
