+1 to this question as well. I was considering MB futures, but I really can't fathom waiting 15+ years. Auction route does seem like the better option. Question about MB futures and really futures in general where the wine is not expected to be consumed for 15+ years. Does the price savings of buyi...

Consolidated List of Tastings?

After La Paulee this weekend and seeing the post about the James Suckling Great Wines of Italy events, it made me wonder whether there is a good resource that lists major organized tastings (or maybe we can collectively put one together in this thread) that allow participation of people not ITB.

The question here should probably be how much of your post-tax income you would be willing to spend (guessing the range is between 1/10 of a percent and 10%).

To those who buy off this list--given that retail pricing is frequently the same as (if not better when a retailer does a sale) than the list price, why do you buy from the list? Even those who are in states where the retailers don't carry A-R, I imagine there are out-of-state retailers who ship and...

Pairing wines is real (subjectivity does not negate the fact that, for a given person, certain wines will go better with certain food than other wines). (Most) wine pairings, however, are just unoriginal ways to take your money.
