Re: The Garagiste Thread (The Great Enabler) Back to Life

Interestingly, a different vintage of the Gabbiano Bellezza (2012) was offered in April 2018 as "Mystery Gran Selezione Chianti Classico" for $14. I wonder if Gabbiano is becoming another Garagiste "house" mystery wine, a la Felsina? (Maybe they already were and I just didn't know!)

One mystery solved:

"Mystery of Mysteries" = Den Hoed. I just got 1 bottle and it was Marie's View 2014.

For anyone interested, the 2015 Ca Rozzeria Chianti Classico was from Casa Emma.
Thanks, from wine-searcher and CT community average, it looks like stateside for the CC is usually $20+
Yeah, it was quite nice. Aging potential too -- a good deal IMO.

How did you figure that out? I've tried for the Barolos with no luck.
I'm just really smart!

Just kidding, there was a Casa Emma cork in it. :)

Re: The Garagiste Thread (The Great Enabler) Back to Life

Hi all -- Does anyone know the origin of the Garagiste Starfire offers? I'm new enough to the listserv (and perhaps not knowledgeable enough about all the Washington producers) to not be able to suss out where the wine is likely from. Does anyone know or have some educated guesses?
