Re: Crowdsource Question: Disrupting the Three Tier Model?

Robert, you make a good point. Though most credit the "failure" as more of a pivot. Now that Amazon has acquired Whole Foods, it has a retail presence and licensing in virtually every state, which means you'll be able to order wine online and have it shipped or pick it up at a WF near you. Re: Crowdsource Question: Disrupting the Three Tier Model?

Re: Crowdsource Question: Disrupting the Three Tier Model?

That's also something I'm exploring, the hurdles there are regulatory. I'm having trouble finding a third party logistics and fulfillment company that can handle direct to consumer sales on behalf of an importer. And the other limitation is that only 13 states allow direct shipping for non-producers...

Crowdsource Question: Disrupting the Three Tier Model?

Hello fellow wine geeks and hustlers, After having lived in Europe for three years, I had a bit of a reverse culture shock moving back to the East Coast just over a year ago. No longer able to access the plentiful wines Europe has to offer at fair prices, I found myself investigating work arounds. ...
