Both Fedex and UPS will deliver to a local holding point. For me it is a Walgreens or the local UPS store, both close. Really? Walgreen's will accept your wine shipments and hold them for you to come pick up? That seems like a huge pain in the ass for Walgreen's, and would create liability concerns...

I chose the option to have my last shipment of wines dropped off at FedEx pickup location. It came to my house and left a doortag. Lol

If I read the OP correctly, there is not actually evidence of an angry driver, just a "tried to deliver" when someone was actually home. I've had those on deliveries of quite light items , so think there's some projection going on here. Plus, most routes have same driver, so delaying a delivery doe...

Sorry. I dont know how all this work. I simply made the purchase from shops in EU. They had it shipped.
All 3 times were 3 different shops. France, UK and Belgium.
