There’s a real problem for Taittinger with Comtes. Quality is high and production is reasonably big (well over a large Bordeaux estate). The wine is only sold to winos and restaurants. Never in airplanes (back when they were still a thing - imagine how much DomP Emirates got through daily pre-covid...

You would have to drop a bomb on VWW to even have a chance of your collection being impacted. It's a former supermarket warehouse. Reinforced concrete. Of course they have temp control but it stays naturally cool most of the year. The only scenario as Michael probably described to you is accidental...

This wine is high-toned floral, some petrichor, somewhat gamey with very delicious red fruit. Silky mouth feel with nice tannins. Beautiful wine to drink now with structure to age. Jouan is a producer you should have in your cellar. Killer QPR.

If you are buying a lot EP I feel it makes more sense to buy from UK or Fra. Especially if the wines you choose are over 14% abv

Vcc is a pass for me. You may regret this; VCC is repricing itself as its reputation rises. Even at $236, it is still a buy. Im sure I will but I need to slow down on wine purchases. Confirmed with retailmenot that it is max of $50 per purchase. I will go with cashback instead of MR points. Award charts are always degraded over time and partnerships could always be removed.

I like my champs a bit warmer side like 65 degrees. Open, take sip and Air for 30min or so. Drink. Sometimes I even put them in a decanter and back in to bottle.
