You can buy the adapter that aerates; however, it still wont beat a 2-3 hour long decant.

Read that you're trying to build a cellar, good to see you starting young. Start with some second labels, they don't break the bank and will give you a glimpse of the wine making team's style and taste of the big brother bottle. The second labels are usually made from younger vines and are made to d...

Pretty much going to be equally great after 20 years. Most likely 18 futures are cheaper than the 16s out right now, so I would prob save a few bucks and get 18.

Palates eventually change, don't stock up on Napa cabs and don't try to buy every premium bottle you see on IG. Trust the producer over vintage.

Not sure if it's just the water here in SoCal, but anyone notice a light cloudy film at the bottom of the bowl after machine washing? Wonder if it's just the calcium. But this only happens to my Grassl, not GGG or Zalto.

We machine wash all of our glasses and the only time a Grassl broke was actually when we hand washed it and it slipped. Otherwise no issues.

100% of the time everyone brings a bottle to share. Also gives me a chance to open something of mine that I've been meaning to open. We may or may not start with a cocktail beforehand. Me personally would glance at the wine list to see what the restaurant carries, but we rarely order anything.

For those that have both/ have used both. What’s your preference for champagne? I currently use GGG but find that the nose can be a little muted and the bubbles are pretty much gone, not that it really bothers me.

Neither of those is sub $20 a 750 mL bottle and the Mount Veeder is $30-40 in most markets.
