Suggestion for a red to serve at a party

Hey guys
Looking for recommendations on red wines that we can serve at a small party. Something that pairs well with Indian food. Ideally under $40 and available in NY/NJ so that I can get it delivered this week.

Thanks a lot the recommendations.

16th would work. Also do you have some thoughts on the theme (plots/ producers/ years/ budget etc) A few ideas I would throw out there 1. Latriciers / Chapelle/ Charmes Chambertin 2. Clos Vougeot 3. Jonathan, thanks for taking the lead. We need more of these. I am likely to be away for a week around end Oct. so if it doesn’t conflict with their dates, will def make it. Maybe good to throw out a date that works for 2-3 people and let others decide if it works for them. If later on there is a con...

New to Coravin and have tried it on about 15 bottles thus far. Loving the idea of having 5-6 different bottles on roster. It has immensely increased the fun of trying different wines.

So far has issue with leaking cork once - it was a Donnhoff Riesling. Good to hear about the candle wax tip.

1995 Gazin. I just love Pomerol. I love wines that have plenty in the bottom register but don't feel weighted down, and that is the most prominent feature of these wines. At 24 years of age, this felt downright spritely. Silky mouthfeel and was just too easy going down. Love it. [thumbs-up.gif]
