I’m new to bedrock, only to have tried the 2018 ovz. All I see on here is the love for bedrock so I figured I’d try out and sample some to see what all the hype is about. What do you all recommend in purchasing? Maybe 7-10 bottles to try out now and in the future. What’s everyone thoughts? Thanks T...

Re: How to maximize storage in a wine fridge

I don't think having the top bottles at 64 and the bottom bottles at 55 is a particularly big issue as long as the temps stay relatively constant. I remember an article a few years ago that said Mouton's cellar was typically in the 65/66 range.

The 2018 was good but the 2017 was on another level.

Seems like the vineyard mix in there changes substantially year to year, based on what they use for the single vineyards. Based on Morgan’s note, the 2019 will be great as well. I believe he said it’s 1/3 Bedrock vineyard.

I just listened to the podcasts. A few thoughts: - I will buy more than I was planning to. - sounds like a year to stock up on OVZ - I didn’t get the impression that Calico Syrah was replacing or equivalent to California Syrah so I would expect a higher price. I’m hoping it isn’t as high as Galloni...

Bedrock’s flat-rate shipping is outstanding and customer-first. Given the many value bottling and the flat-rate shipping, it’s definitely a list that is structurally geared toward “volume” buyers. As someone with limited storage who doesn’t buy by the case, it’s not always the best fit for me. But I...

The Calistoga is highly underrated, imo. One of my favorites every year it's made, and perhaps the best value in the portfolio (perhaps because it is a single-vineyard wine labeled as an appellation bottling).
