Of the two hotels you asked about, I would stay at Market Pavillon. It's a very nice hotel, cool rooftop bar, nice downstairs bar as well. My wife loved the nitrotinis they make there.

White and Red Burgundy has worked well for me in the past at Noreetuh. And Jin loves Burgundy.

I also found a new restaurant that I love. Oceana . Fresh seafood. Relaxed atmosphere. Good wine list. Oceana doesn't get a lot of shouts but I agree it is a nice restaurant. I really like the foie gras and lobster app. Something different. They are part of the Livanos group and I really like Ousia...

Suzanne, I would definitely pass at that price. Current auction pricing is probably $125 to $140. Also there have been quite a few tainted '89s. Kind of like '89 Beaucastel. It can be great or it can be garbage.

So Axelle says that the other estate is run by Bertrand's brother. They worked together until the mid-80s and then went their separate ways so nothing in common on making wines today.

That's the room they use for wine groups. Makes tables into a square with one open side. Very comfortable for a group of 10 or so.

I used to go in this store once in a while to look around when I worked in the financial district. Never got a good vibe and I never bought anything. I guess they continue to thrive being so close to Wall Street.

Dined at Le Jardinier last evening with friends. Ambiance is lovely, service was excellent and food was beautifully plated and very good. Corkage is $60 with one bottle limit per couple and can't be on their list. List is not very deep but one can find something that pleases. I would return.

Cosmo to Primm has never taken me more than 45 minutes. I'm assuming your staying on the strip. The Lake course is one of my favorites. Other than Berns, I haven't found any place solid for wine. When I go to Berns I go for the wine as I find the food mediocre. Let us know how the 01 is. I had the 78 and 91 earlier this week. The 78 was off the charts good and in prime drinking window. 91 was excellent but I think it still might be better with some more years. Certainly no rush to drink.
