Not sure what you mean by this... It's just like English, Riesling Feier means "Riesling Party" and Feierriesling is more like "Party Riesling", which probably suggest a lower quality, quaffable bottle of wine...

Since I have insurance and wine can be replaced, probably something easy to drink while waiting to return...

If it was to save a special bottle, I'd grab the 2004 Monfortino.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely look into Lenoir and Bufalina!

Jeffrey's wine list is not pricey, it's an insult. $150 for a 2017 Foillard Corcelette that I paid $31.50 for is borderline criminal.

Great wine! I had it in April and loved it too.

It had tons of apricot and stone fruit notes and I agree it was quite ripe, but beautiful. Rated it 94.

I think 200 is the minimum... I don’t want to have to go to storage all the time and dig through boxes just to refill the fridge. Plus I like to have options and keep my nice bottles in reach, just in case :)

I only really started buying Rhys with the 2013 vintage, but I'd be happy to bring a 2013 Horseshoe Pinot, which was drinking beautifully last year.

I also have one bottle of 2012 Bearwallow Pinot left that I could bring as well. Or go with a 2011 Mount Eden Chardonnay for bottle #2...

WineBid is a great source for single bottles of older stuff to try! Same goes for K&L auctions... Just be aware of the premiums and take that into account in the bidding...

I brought the 2015 to a tasting last night and thought it was a bit too ripe and full. Older vintages can be great, but in general, I tend to prefer his Riesling Singerriedel over the Grüner Honivogl...

Prager is currently making the best Grüner IMHO

Joseph Phelps has very interesting tastings / seminars (private tasting, blending seminar, aroma challenge) that are fun and educational. Plus their Pinots (and dare I say, even Chards) have recently been on a very positive trajectory, in addition to the classic Napa Cabs...
