2013 Dominus is shut down and in my opinion not ready for another decade. if you want to experience the glory of Dominus, source a good bottle of 1994.

I went back and forth this morning and then got some intel from a friend. Decided to take the flyer on a GTO and 3x La Verdad. That taps the budget this vintage. I must mention, $31 for shipping these wines is not bad at all.

If humidity is controlled, there should be no mold issues with cardboard. Professional storage keeps going up each year, so besides cellaring unicorn bottles in OWC, I find it more cost effective to ditch them and use thick cardboard 12-bottle boxes.

Is there another wave of buyers this week? If not, it appears that "many" did not take their allocation, based on limited intel- only 700 bottles are showing in CT for 2017, whereas the other small harvest (2015) is showing over 4000 bottles.

Have any previous buyers of SC had experience with missing an allocation (maybe 2011) and still received SC offer the next vintage? I've heard that if you miss a single offering, you're off the list the following year, even if you've been a longtime buyer.

Loved the 1971 Produttori de Barbaresco Rabaja, F. Rinaldi and G. Rinaldi. If I could choose one, it would have to be the Rabaja, an incredible perfume on the nose, smooth from end to end.

The SB is pricey but sounds tasty and the bottle looks beautiful. I look forward to 19 Fidelio. Sounds like they made it a little different this time around. Please share your intel. Hopefully, they will blend in some semillon and muscadelle. That would be epic if Benoit made a bdx-style white.
