They are called True Believer now - no more HWA. I love these wines. Full flavor and intensity in the vein of SQN and Saxum. They are in my top tier of favorite rhone variety producers coming out of California.

Travis, Sounds like a great trip. Met with them last year and they will indeed sell the Spanish wines in Walla Walla along with their new Washington wines. Should be an exciting project of not only wine, but culinary flair as they will treat it like they are in Spain with events, music, food, etc.....

I have not seen awesome markdowns in any of the Seattle area stores for years. But they had 2 great wines at fantastic prices yesterday. 2016 Palacios Petalos for $11.99 and 2016 Pingus PSI for $21.99. This was at the SODO store.

I just had the '86 this weekend. The nose was spectacular and all about classic Bordeaux cedar, tobacco and herbaceous deliciousness. The tannin and body were out of this world. Very dark, very rich cassis, reminded me of a youngish high end Washington cab. Really great wine. I had the '82 last year...

Anyone know why the 2017 Donnhoff Hermannshohle GG Riesling price spiked this year? Looks like about a 25% increase. I know it is still a relative value as one of the best white wines in the world and I’m still a buyer. Just wondering if there is a reason I am not aware of. Thanks!

I love Terlano’s white wines. The Quartz and Winkl sauv Blancs are fantastic and worth tracking down if you’ve never tried. The winkl has the strongest passion fruit I’ve ever smelled in wine.

Yes! the SB 500 is even more electrifying. The SB I is all stainless and more crisp and fruity, but still great. I really like their entire line-up. The GG rieslings are singular and fascinating. I buy their wines every year.

Thanks for the note. Mine never last 6 years because I can't keep my hands off of them. It seems like the oak notes peaked in '09-'10, and feels like less now. I know it is still 100% new, but maybe they are using lighter toast or bigger barrels? The '15 and '16 are already drinking great!

Sine qua non made Oregon Pinot for a few years. Lillian (in Oregon) makes one of the most distinctive and delicious white wines in the USA from California rousanne. She makes a Napa cab too. Hosanna is one of my favorite finds in the last several years. The '12 is spectacular and the Cab Franc really shines through in a beautiful way - but a little out of your price limit. I've found some other vintages of Hosanna for ~$100.
