This is one of my very favorite producers from one of my favorite vineyards from a fabulous vintage. Not quite as good as the tremendous 05, but still with beautiful ethereal aromatics, super pure fruits, great acidity, and a complex finish. I got a case of this from benchmark for ~$60/btl and am ve...

Well, judging from the responses of the business folk on this board, it seems that their clients do buy the wine and to suck up properly and make the almighty buck they do have to drink it, otherwise lose the business if I am h...

I agree, the times I’ve had the RC it’s been etherality, weightlessness and finesse. It doesn’t stand out initially in a lineup of la tache and rb but then eventually it does.

I think they just needed time. I feel like you’re almost always rewarded and never penalized for leaving RED burg in the cellar. When’s the last time you’ve opened a red burg within 30 years of vintage date and thought you should’ve opened it a few years ago? I had a few 90 Bourgognes lately that we...

Just had the 16 yesterday. Seemed incredibly under ripe and tannic. How does one predict the future that it would be a glorious wine in 20-25 years? There was nothing in it that said there’s the material in the background that would emerge. I imagine that’d need a big decant. I felt exactly that wa...
