Great day (and weekend)! Thanks to all the producers who participated and, of course, Todd, for creating this extravaganza. I got all the (re)orders I targeted from past favorites plus a few new producers that I was interesting in trying. As always, my budget was $25/bottle avg delivered to Ohio, an...

Hi Emilio: I was charged $23 for 6 bottles shipping. Is there a $5 handling charge too? Joe Healy, at Bella, recommended I try your Nebbiolo as his private label that I've enjoyed for several years has now sold out.

Cheers,

Campesino is another BD producer that makes some of my household's favorite offerings, altho they're definitely on the 'bigger' side of our preferred style. Their Isa rose made from Grenache is great: tart, crisp and a bit distinctive from usual Pinot based rose. Macario acquires fruit from top vin...

+1 for FrannyBeck and Vincent. Both make a range of varietals that are all very tasty. Long Play and iOTA are good too but a more narrow range of offerings.

Aging vs Airing: difference in flavor?

I rarely have the opportunity to cellar an 'age-able' bottle for more than a few years, and I rarely have the opportunity to buy wine that has reached its optimum drinking window. Yet I enjoy 'good' bottles, even if opened way too early, and I appreciate their difference in taste versus non age-able...

What's the worst well-rated wine you've had this year?

Suffered thru a '13 Belle Glos Las Alturas Vineyard Pinot Noir (CT90.5) at the Oceano Bistro in St Louis. The food was fine but the wine was closer to an over ripe jammy syrah fruit bomb than a pinot. Might appeal to some but not to us.
