2017 WV Chardonnay such a great wine. Served as an apertif. So much flavor and complexity for so little $
2018 WR Bersker Cuvee Pinot. Pleasant on PNP. Better on day 2 in the decanter. These deserve time IMO.

Not a lot of notes on Cellartracker; but the comments have me sitting up straight, paying attention. A case of quality over quantity. I’m also in agreement with your plan (robust reds). I don’t think bottle shock (hmm, if it exists at all) is a major issue if you’re driving and will have the wine in a box in the back of your car. I live in San Francisco and have driven up to Tahoe with wine quite a few times and haven’t had any p...

I go to Tahoe several times a year and always bring wine, whether driving or flying. I am a total nonbeliever in travel shock (other than perhaps stirring fine sediment in old wines or that sort of thing), but others are into that notion, and no sense in arguing that issue generally for the umpteen...

Thank you all for the kind words. It's funny how "unique," like "interesting," can be double-edged, depending on the inflection. That said, I feel like if I'm not making unique wines, there's not really a reason to do this. There are definitely a ton of wineries in the Willamett...

I have an underground passive cellar in my Utah residence that gets that cold in the winter. What I have noticed over the last 10+ years is that my wines age slowly. Perfectly understated, with a whisper of white peach and lemon, coupled with flinty/chalky minerality. There's a suggestion of mint and the palate is quite neutral but lacks no character. The finish is dry, with some citrus rind freshness. A very fine Briords. Love it. Still waiting on mine to show...
