It would be a smart marketing strategy for them to provide updated TN's. Most wineries do not unload their entire inventory vintage in and vintage out. And by providing updates to their mailing list or members, it would spark some of those folks to inquire about purchase. Wineries win with increment...

Caterwaul is delicious in 18. I originally bought a three pack on release, opened a bottle a couple weeks ago, and immediately went back in for more. As I was drinking it. I try and wait a day or so to noodle on whether to buy more of anything, but not this guy... Easy decision at $50/per

Frank- I dont think I've ever seen that as an option, but I could be wrong.

Order in for a sixer of the Las P and three of the Sleeping Lady. I may go back before next TUE and add more Lady and perhaps a maggie of the Las P. I'm trying to behave, but FCUK its hard because I do love these wines...

The 2018 Caterwaul Napa punches well above its price point. I am also looking forward to popping the cork on their Cemetery Vineyard bottling one of these days. Its located right next to Las Piedras, IIRC

Nick- you need to quit Atlanta and head to California. Much cheaper shipping... but then you have to deal with the excessively high cost of living. So there's that. Life is all about tradeoffs I guess :)

There is no OWC option, but it comes shipped in one of those sleek cardboard box setups.

The last vintage is 2018. I don’t believe it was a money issue rather a lack of appreciation from the land owner of the value and partnership Abreu/Brad brought to the vineyard and brand. Familiar with the label but have never had the wines. Sleeping Lady is an exceptional vineyard, and I have loved the efforts from Mark Porembski at Zeitgeist and Benoit Touquette at Fait Main. Its Grade A terroir.

Sounds interesting. Haven't seen any emails from Jason and Flora on this. Looks to be their second wine, yes. It's smart of them to get a wine out there at a much lower price point than the flagship. I love those wines but $250++ is a bit steep to be popping corks on regularly...

From what I recall, last year had similar high pricing for 2-pack shipping. If purchased by 2-pack, by default it would ship in OWC. If elected for the 6 pack, you could opt out of the OWC and get it shipped in cardboard box. I believe the shipping for the 4 total bottles (2 2-packs) was about $80 ...

I will be a buyer. I really enjoy these wines, as I’ve had several from the 2016 vintage (they didn’t last long). The A. Price cabernet for me is the standout, although the Oakville Ranch is tasty as well.

The M’Etain leans more towards the Greer style than Carter and the others mentioned above. Even though it’s a ‘second wine’, it goes toe to toe with most winery’s flagship bottlings. If there was any vintage to take a first time flyer on, it’s the 18’s

I tasted this with Alex at Bistro Jeanty back in early March (so, 32 years ago it seems), and it was delicious. The ‘17 is another in a long string of epic vintages for the MacBros.

It’s cool that they are separated by I think a half mile as the crow flies, and Farella is lower elevation while Caldwell is hillside/higher up.
