non-Napa wine regions

I've done Napa about 6 times the last decade (mostly during harvest) and am looking to switch it up this year in early November. Plan is to fly into San Jose and stay in the Monterey area for a couple of days and then drive south towards the wine country for another couple of days before leaving out...

Decent BYOB options inside the loop in Houston are Uchi , Bollo or Bistro Menil. Not a lot of choices with Jonathan's the Rub and Underbelly changing their BYOB policies over the past 12 months. Didn't know that about Underbelly. Was always underwhelmed with their food with all of the praise but tr...

Agree with Pappa's suggestion and Celsius 13 for something more eclectic. Re BYOB, not much in Houston. Based on this list, Jonathan's the Rub is worth it if you're in the Memorial area. Not worth traveling far for it though. https://houstonfoodfinder.com/2018/07/27/the-big-houston-food-finder-guide...

Mount Veeder Winery Cab, or J Lohr Hilltop
Neither of those is sub $20 a 750 mL bottle and the Mount Veeder is $30-40 in most markets.
Saw this for $25 at HEB and 10% off that if you buy 6 of any bottle of wine. Close enough. I recall the last 2 years it's been in the $30-$35 range.

Utah does allow BYO, as long as the wine was purchased in a Utah state store, and has the tax sticker to prove it. (This is often not enforced).
