2001 Ogier Cote Rotie. After over a month and a half of no wine due to doctors orders, I opened up this bottle for one glass. No idea why I picked a Cote Rotie to celebrate my freedom from restrictions. Syrah is not normally my favorite grape variety. But this was quite interesting. Lots of barnyard...

Last I had the Altagracia it was a pleasant surprise. I would advise to buy but the price of it as well as the Eisele Estate are too high IMO. Although, I still buy the Sauvignon Blanc. The price may seem getting up there but it is a wonderful SB.

Per CT, the 89 Haut Brion, and La Mission HB are worth more than the 82 Mouton I have. Go figure. I bought those ages ago on release. I already drank the 82 Latour, Cheval, and Margaux. Yum! Besides those three all others fall way below that.

Tomas, I also had the same attitude about Champagne, but now life is too short not to enjoy it regularly! And I also am drinking and buying Chablis regularly. I was always a big Cal Chard fan but I was at a tasting and was served a 1981 Paul Droin Grenouille and was blown away by it. I’ve had plenty...

Rosso di Montalcino from top producers. Completely agree. I think the Pian dell'Orino rosso is top notch. I would also say Chianti Classico from top producers as well. Fontodi, Castello dei Rampolla, and San Giusto come to mind. While they can be pricer than other Chianti's, I think their quality e...

I agree with most here, sweet wine and champagnes. But I have been buying recently released Bordeaux in 375 just to taste them. I’m too old to wait until they are ready to drink, but I’m curious about the hyped vintages lately.
