I was going to suggest the Kirkland Brand Alexander Valley Cabernet but they haven't had it for a while.

I do like the region and enjoyed some prior stuff from the Sta Rita Hills area before.
It has a distinctive taste.

I think watching it get darker in the decanter was really interesting.
In hindsight.... I should have given it 3 hours in the decanter.

Hi Brad Thanks for that. It's an odd feeling delving into this as the fear is doing something way wrong. I wondered about a longer (2+ hour) decant.
