Re: Your Gin?

I just made a G&T with Eden Mill's oak gin and Q tonic water. Really nice, even if missing some of the bolder botanical flavors. My wife and I did a tonic taste off earlier this summer and found that we preferred Q to Fever Tree. Do not buy the Whole Foods brand tonic - it was over-sweet and unpleas...

Smitty's in Lockhart still has the best sausage that I have ever tried (the sausage grind is perfect). Their brisket is also great, and you get to walk right through the scorching-hot smokeroom to order (prepare to get sweaty). Black's in Lockhart was also good; Kreuz is worth a visit, since it's ri...

I just bought the France Cave by EuroCave and have had it plugged in for about a week and a half. I've been really impressed so far. It's pretty quiet even when cooling, is aesthetically pleasing, and most importantly, had a lot of the bulk storage-like capacity that I was looking for. We'll see how...

You'll remain on the list (and you can email Bedrock and let them know that you're sitting out for this round, but want to stay on the list). Me, myself and I bought a mixed case and successfully...

I have a monthly budget that rolls (positive or negative) forward each month and we have had to adjust each year. Even if I had the money to buy $400 wine, I doubt it would be a common occurrence. I stopped buying $225 Peter Michael after one round of allocations, because I can drink fantastic wine at $100 and not feel any regrets and I made the decision that I would prefer to drink a greater variety of less ex...

One of the best summers I ever experienced was living in Paris for six weeks, fueled by 5 euro rose that I would grab from the supermarket, exploring a new one each time.
