This AM looks and smells the best in the last 90 hours or so. Maybe things are turning in our favor! San Francisco got a solid dose of the smoke overnight. Looking forward to this all being over. Freezing in the cargo hold?

I've taken wine on flights of up to 4hrs in duration. I'm going on a 10hr flight this week and wondering if that's long enough that no matter how insulated by clothes and other luggage a bottle is, will it get cold enough to freeze in the cargo hold?

The answer to this question depends on whether I want to still have a wife. Why do cooling units fail during heat waves?

It seems to me that wine cabinet longevity may be due to how tightly the temperature is controlled vs a refrigerator. Also there is humidity control as well so that may factor into the longevity equation. I just bought a Le Cache on craigslist myself and it wouldn't even cool below 62 degrees with ...

I don't like the advice about, "no kids." That doesn't answer her question at all. She was explicit in asking for places in wine country that would be affordable and fun for both the adults and kids. To tell her not to bring the kids is pointless, and of utterly no help. Not at all. It's an honest ...

I know ZERO about this stuff, but it cools differently yes? A refrigerator will take moisture out of the air, but a cellar won't. So, $4,750 for humidity? Well, and the cool blue light that only lights the top shelf.

How long are the batteries for the wirelesstag lasting? I have had to replace both of mine after about nine months. I had hoped they would last longer than this. I've run into that too. Don't use the motion sensors or have frequent updates. Have 5 tags and they all needed replaced around 6-9 months.

Life isn't fair. Wine is part of life. Can't afford it? Drink something else. I agree fully. So again, it's all about screwing with the 99%. I don't see it that way. The 99% most likely aren't drinking the top 0.1% of wines anyway. You don't have to not drink wine, you just have to not drink wine t...
