Yes, as I mentioned above the Jamasse Prestige are excellent; I have not noticed significant variation, and usually use them over Zalto or GGG. They're about $40/stem, making it a reasonable deal.

Re: Wineries please note - I am sick of styro shippers

I agree with Keith on the styrofoam issue. It is really difficult to go all green when one is shipping thousand of miles. I would also point out, vis a vis WineBid, I recently received a shipment which included 2 separate 3L Bordeaux in identical bottles, one of which cost $10 more to ship. I find t...

It is at least a problem. Another is that many (most?) end users do not have proper storage themselves. And that, generally at least, staying power is an issue.

The '99, from a mediocre year drank well from 2005. But what has happened does not bode well IMHO. I'll be waiting on t...

Personally, of the vintages 2012-2016, I find the 2015's least likable. Too ripe and not enough acidity. The few 2017's I've tried, Lapierre and Thivin, are excellent and, I believe, better than the 2016's. No extremes and definitely not overripe.

The 1990 was "exotic" all right; also virtually undrinkable by this century, with all the worst descriptors: port, raisin, voluptuous etc. My recollection, however, is that the prior years weren't all that good either, just not as rich, alcoholic, overdone.
