Slanted Door is indeed busy the majority of the day (especially lunch and dinner times). It’s also 1.1 miles away from Moscone Center, so not exactly a quick hike and back. Going anywhere over 2 blocks from Moscone feels like a haul when you’re dealing with convention goers, tourists and locals. In ...

When I learned awhile back what aficionados were paying for certain Toppling Goliath stouts, I was literally gobsmacked.

Then again, it’s like Jordans/Nikes or Yeezys. Doesn’t really impact the far majority of folks.....

Every now and then, Costco offers up some luciousness. The marbling on these is too fine and extensive to use them in a braise. Probably do half quick seared Korean style, and the other half just a “normal” salt & pepper flash sear......

I know someone who unfortunately had a couple pairs of expensive sneakers stolen out of his checked luggage. Can’t assume it’s TSA swiping the bottle, as they’re not responsible for loading it on and off the planes.

Caught up with close friends over dinner at their house last night. They made homemade Korean chicken soup (sam gye tang). Paired with Sauvignon Blanc for the ladies, and a variety of beers for the guys.

Lucked into some 1.75L bottles of Knob Creek Small Batch Patiently Aged Rye for basically the cost of a 750ml. Had a supervisor check if any other stores in the region had any, and was told nope.

Made a quick trip to Rare Barrel after dinner last night, as their blog stated Hill Farmstead was in the lineup of guest beers. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
