Phenomenal report (as always), Ken!

So many of the smaller New World producers are featured in the Brumaire tastings that I want to try. I am especially happy to see Mendo & San Benito vineyards highlighted by such a diverse group of winemakers.

Thanks for the input! I would like to think that many Spanish Car/Gre blends would go the distance, as well as a few Californian bottlings. I have not had an " old " bottle, only about 8 years old. It was the Wild Hog 2002 " Porter-Bass Vineyard " Carignan, and it was all oak. [head-bang.gif]

I believe Washington and Oregon have some high performing Sangios, but I rarely hear about CA.

I was very intrigued by the release of a Contra Costa red blend (at a very good price point, to boot) from Sandlands. I am probably going to hold onto my bottle for at least another six months or more before popping.
