We've got friends who NEVER drink wine, who now all of a sudden are drinking these wine cooler like things. I got them to at least try a Moscato d'Asti (which they liked) but those are not widely available outside dedicated wine/spirits shops in my area.

Shipping in the summer is not ideal, especially for serious wines. I avoid it in most cases. When something does get cooked, I'll accept that my impatience is to blame, and move it to the front of the drinking list. For porch pounders or kitchen quaffers, typically they are still ok enough to drink....
