I Shipped a case of wine via DHL to A remote town in Calabria Italy June 2011 and it arrived in 1 week! In good condition. Addresses to myself in care of hotel.
Perhaps you can address it to yourself to avoid any duty, taxes and let the receiver know that you're doing it.

Ditto on Chris Blum's suggestions! Perhaps the powers in charge - aka Todd, could suggest an "opening format" that everyone uses We'd write in simple terms how to order and which states the offer cannot ship to. Then follow with the exciting details of discounts, descriptions of packaged offers, etc.
