I did not get the wish-listed T5 therefore I am bummed but hey more $$$ for other favorite producers. For the record I have been purchasing since 2012 and the last two years at a rate of 1 1/2 cases per release minimum.

I have 99% of my wine delivered to the local FedEx Store. They are great! During the holidays I get the manager and some staff if they have been there long enough gift cards. 2006 EMH Cabernet Sauvignon Black Cat - USA, California, Napa Valley (11/1/2019) Pop and poured. This is in a great place right now. It has shed any harsh tanin. Sweet without sugar, moderately fruity but not over the top. Some level of spice. A bit of earthiness but no tertiary leathery type stuff...

This thread prompted me to pop a 2017 Bedrock Dolinsek Ranch Heritage. Flat out delicious, I defy you not to like it. My wife, who rarely comments on red wine, is loving it. Quite aromatic, very bright and peppery red fruits.

We had the 12 x block on Thursday. Fantastic nose that continued to get better. Similar medium weight and nicely balanced. Very good.

For us it’s 3 years for the OZV and 5-8 years for the SVD’s. As some have mentioned, go ahead and try some. Just give them at least an hour decant and save some to follow over 2-3 days.

I also recommend scheduling a tasting at Rotie with Maddie. Excellent wines and host. Saffron as mentioned above was excellent. Brasserie Four was a bust for us as the service left much to be desired.

We stayed at the Cameo Heights Mansion last year. It does not over look a vineyard and it’s about 25 mins from Walla Walla but it’s fantastic! I highly recommend you look it up. We will definitely be back.

We had this last month. Gave it an hour decant and drank over 3 hours. It did keep getting better. We ended up with an 89-90 rating. Some time in the cellar will help. Nonetheless it was enjoyable but there is more in the tank.

They just had the 2014 Anderson Conn Valley Reserve Cab for $59 with free shipping on one bottle. In my neck of the woods that's a good price/shipping combo. We go over this subject every 5 years or so. We have very good friends who paid a fortune to get a "formal" education in restaurant management. They opened an Italian themed restaurant with reasonable food prices and marked up their wine four times wholesale that was a key point in their schooling....

Strangely they had a Boillinger bubbly for about 2x retail.. so it's all over the place.. but that was shocking.

A quality wine glass or wine bottle case works. I take my less expensive stems: Riedel, Schott Zwiesel or Stolze..... But they must have...

Just my data point...decanted tonight for about 4 hours. I’d say no rush at all on these, could easily go 5+ years with no trouble. Absolutely requires a good decant at this point, but drinks very nicely. Some fine, grippy tannins, great fruit, some green pepper notes as above. +1. Easily 5 years. ...
