Re: TN: 2012 EMH Black Cat Classic

We just took a 2010 Black Cat to Eddie V's Steakhouse. Decanter for about an hour. Wine was wonderful and still very young tasting with a long life ahead. Shared some with the Sommelier and she was impressed and was inquiring about the winery. We had a 2010 earlier this year and I believe the 12’s ...

Anyone pass on this? I get Georges III Vineyard and Dr. Crane Vineyard 'Elysian' every year--but for some reason not their base bottling. Should I get the '17 base or wait for the '18--which is supposed to be a near perfect vintage? i passed on these this year. I have plenty of wine so going much l...

2013 Chester's Anvil Hattori Hanzo - USA, California, Napa Valley (8/18/2019) This seems to be finally settling into a nice place. It's not mature by any means, but it has good definition, and carries its black fruit and spice tones very well. The structure is in balance with the fruit, there's a t...

Quivet wines are supposedly made in a slightly more "lean" style but I've never really found this to be the case.
