Well, I've been on Saxum's list for over 10 years, and I'm not ready to "pony up" yet, but will see what the pricing is upon release. As for Cambie, he appears to have a rather successful track record, so why not take a bet on him? But like I asked earlier, it’s the same wine that Justin has availa...

Re: Generally speaking, what type of wine is the best food wine?

Sorry but the question as posed makes no sense at all. The best food wine is whatever you happen to like with whatever you happen to be eating. And it changes from day to day. There's no characteristic that makes one wine food-friendly and another food-antagonistic. And it's an extremely limited se...

Steven, Interesting theory, but I'm not sure about the shift to other varieties for the old guard. As is clear on this board and in high end retail, Bordeaux and Burgundian varieties still rule the roost, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Rhone varieties have always taken second fiddle, r...

Flannery "rich blend" cooking question

I love the Flannery burger packs but have encountered an issue with the rich blend, i normally like to sear my burgers on high heat then finish in the oven at 500 f, this gives a hard sear with almost a crust like texture to the outside and a soft melty but cooked thru center. The issue with the ric...
