Re: Wineries please note - I am sick of styro shippers

+1000 The town where I used to live had a recycling yard that included a bin for styrofoam, so while a bit of a pain to load up my car (and get pieces of styro all over), I would make several trips a year and wasn't that bothered by it. But where I live now, there is no styro recycling - I have cal...

Re: Wineries please note - I am sick of styro shippers

Donate the styro shippers to your local winemonger. Then it becomes someone else’s problem. This is what I do. My LWS ships so I give him all my shippers, styro & pulp. He takes care of me in return with free tasting events and other things. Also fully agree that the Bedrock shipments are always th...

On a visit a few years back we were given a shiner of a PN they made awhile back but never labeled or distributed. It was marvelous and stumped a bunch of wine geek friends when I broke it out for them.

Upcoming Outpost release - Winemaker question

Could someone more in the know than me fill me in on who the winemaker was for the vintage being released next week for Outpost? Did TRB make these wines and the others to be released later this year? I really have enjoyed all of the wines I've had from Outpost that he has crafted. Sure they sold ou...

I've liked each vintage but I believe that the '12 Compagni Portis was my favorite Carlisle white wine to date.
Agreed on enjoying each vintage. Probably my favorite white blend and a real crowd pleaser.

I recently made the list for Leonetti after a short wait. The main issue with that is lugging around a 13 bottle shopper on a road trip true, but consider: 1. you get your wine when you walk off the plane, eliminating the need to wait for a shipment, weather issues, Common Carrier mistakes, etc. 2. checked bag is only $25 on most airlines, sometimes less ...

My personal three pack.

Ardbeg Uigeadail.
Balvenie 17.

If you could find a Bladnoch that is not molested by water or chill filtration with age on it, buy that before all else; especially if it's from a reputable independent bottler.
