Haha. This is awesome. I’d imagine you’d have to set some ground rules... otherwise I can see this as the supermarket sweep of wine cellars. One weekend, unlimited pass sounds like a depletion of prized bottles.

I haven’t personally had the 04, but a close friend of mine opened a bottle in his wine appreciation course he teaches at university. He said he prefers the 164 to the 04. Him and I actually both agreed that we enjoyed the 164 over the 02 at this current time, but I suspect that has to do with the 0...

I think they spent a lot more than that. I believe they had to buy out all the local ad space across the country, as Budweiser is the only national alcohol brand allowed. At least, that is what I’ve been told.

Also drank some 02 Krug on New Year’s Eve. Followed by an 04 Perrier Jouet belle epoque, a 14 SQN Syrah, and then a Krug 164e at midnight. All fantastic. I have a special place in my heart for Krug. 164 eme is SUPER tight for a Krug MV release. Mine are in the cellar. Looking forward to 165. BTW, I am totally addicted to the 2002 vintage release. This is one of the very best Champagnes I tasted in 2017. Wished I had multiple cases. Don, I have exactly one bottle of the 2002 vintage. Now? Wait?...

I love mine still. Fortunately I haven't had to go through any of the issues others have. One thing that is suggested is to purge the line before using. That would allow you to get an idea of argon flow before puncturing the cork.
