I just grilled some (previously frozen ) alligator filets. I love alligator. Just used some oil and salt and pepper to start on all. Then put some jerk sauce on half of it. Yum .

My mother was a good cook, but was sick a lot .
The one meal that sticks in head, was fried flounder , with a side of large egg noodles mixed with creamed spinach . Yum
