Was pretty disappointed with the '06. When I was hunting for '08s at Costco, I found a random '06 in a sea of '09s. Thought about it, but passed.

As a quick data point, K&L just had an auction for '78 Palmer end at ~$200. $335 Palmer doesn't really fit the bill for me. Would rather put that money towards something more prestigious.

Just popped a 375 from Envoyer and thrilled with this wine, wish I had more. It's on the gulpable side, almost Cru-Boo'ish in that sense , but the floral/cherry notes with a touch of earthy funk are just fantastic. That's a really good description - also why I didn't like it. pileon Same same.

Balthazar is legit. Got a few 2015 Chaillot for ~$50 (not from Envoyer) not too long ago. I wouldn't open any Chaillot for a long ass time though.
