Favorite of mine was the 2014 Aurelien Verdet Gevrey-Chambertin. Got it for just $30 a year ago (K&L Wines clearance). Only see it for ~$50 these days :(

I've never understood drinking young Dom Perignon. To me, it is just way too reductive for the handful of years after the release. The smoky character mentioned by William above is what dominates a young vintage - often up to a point that the wine really doesn't smell of anything but gunpowder smok...

I don't think they are as popular with a lot of people on this site, but I really love a lot of the wines coming out of Paso Robles (I'm more into big, full bodied, fruit driven reds), especially their GSM blends and Rhone varietals and even their Tempranillo. At this point in time, I’ve seen overwhelmingly more fake Petrus from Chinese sources than real. Smart decision to reject the bottles.
