Re: Maybach on Deck

Anyone score the Cabs yet? Based on previous years (on Cellartracker): 2015 - 96.9 2014 - 97.9 2013 - 97.9 2012 - 96 I think I can safely say you and anyone getting their first allocation is good to go. No CT notes on 2016 and 2017. Thanks, I'm sure they will score high given the vintage and history.

Is the True vineyard cab approachable young? Depends on what you like. I think you can drink it young if you really want, but the longer you wait, the better it gets. Tears of La Llorona <--- Outstanding
Don Pilar Extra Anejo <---- This one is outstanding as well, but I find Tears of la Llorona more complex
Fortaleza Anejo
Clase Azul Anejo
Don Julio Real

All these are excellent in my opinion.

You can use ILS, they will use a common carrier for small shipments, call or email and ask for quote to ship wine ( I believe they charge more), they will ask where its going you pay them and they will email you the required labels.

Which Napa Sauvignon Blancs retail for $150? Tokalon I Block was short of $100 and I can’t imagine paying more than that. I guess SE did but that’s for a whole set of different reasons.
Melka's SB retails for $145.

Russell Bevan's SBs I had years ago were from the Musque clone, which certainly does have more tropical character. I suspect with regular SB, most of the time working to tone down or eliminate the pyrazine character would simply make for a less interesting wine. With the musque clone or a great sit...

If I were going to look for burg as a neophyte, Ponsot grand cru would be almost the last possible wine I would choose to buy. In going from the 2014, to the 2015, it looks like prices are up by about 25% to 30%. If you scroll down through the wine-searcher prices on the 2014, there's actually a little bit of an anomaly, where the highest prices on the 750ml bottles agree with the lowest prices on the 1500ml bottles.
