2015 Bedrock Wine Co. Zinfandel Sodini Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (3/16/2020) Yummmm...so good! A little mustiness on the nose, good prominent fruit, a little tang, and a long finish. And it's got a silky quality to it which goes down so easy. Should hold, but n...

I'm drinking it right now: 2010 Forman Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a wow wine. The last time that I had it a couple of years ago there was a strong cedar component that I found to be distracting. No longer. This has integrated and is at the beginning of what I'm sure will be a long and graceful evo...

I think many burg lovers are tough scorers because they tend to be more experienced drinkers. They’ve tried all the other wines (started on cabs, etc.) before the road led them to Burgundy. But I agree with the OP’s observation - lots of expensive red burgundy out there with low ninety scores.

+1 on many of the responses above. I’ve never sold a bottle. I like the idea of knowing that if I had to liquidate, I could probably get 50-75% of what I paid, but if I ever get to that point, I have a lot bigger things to worry about. This is a hobby and a passion, not an investment vehicle.
