St least they were “better” side by side. Worse if they cost 2x but taste 0.5x. ;)

And if u pay a tasting fee of $100+ there should be no expectation/obligation to purchase

Generally if they are doing a tasting it means they have wine to sell. Why waste your time pouring something you have no inventory of? Most places will have a tasting fee that will be charged if no purchase happens. Customer relations? Visited Alex at MacD. Nothing to buy. :(. I wish they sold wine...

Get two styro shippers.

Freeze 4 500ml plastic bottles of water. They become ice basically.

Put two in each styro. Leaving Each styro with 10 slots for wine.

cheaper than having to bring / buy blue ice.

My owc arrived with a chip on the front upper corner and a small quarter sized dent/scratch looking imprint on the lid. Everything else seems ok though. I thought this wood was supposed to smell better? It doesn’t smell like anything to me lol Mine has a imprint on the lid, but i think it's purpose...

Mine arrive today and had no foam at all.. instead it had a sheet of hard suspended plastic on top and on the bottom.
it basically suspended the wood crate in the middle of the shipping box.. interesting concept, but everything is good, no broken pieces at all.

I got an e-mail from them saying they switched to a more expensive packaging this year, but it didn't function well with the styro (or whatever that stuff is) that holds it in place during shipping. They will ship new boxes but are asking that if we want the vintage tag to transfer that ourselves. ...

Could u tell the Roulot was burgundy vs the rest is Oregon? Or no way to tell? We were debating what it was... A few guesses went round the table. No one (I think) thought it was a 2013 Oregon. Cool. Sounds like a great tasting. If this ever opens up to new guests, would love to try and make it.
