Next week Europe is going to get hammered by heat

Swiss, Italiam and French weather agencies forecasting a brutall heatwave next week.

Wife is heading ro Milan where there will be 100 plus temps by the emd of the week. 20+ years in CH and this is one of the earliest heatwaves seen. Fingers crossed.

It was a tough night for reds. Overall WOTN was '07 Huet Franc de Pied Sec. Reds: '95 GPL and '01 Pape Clement from magnum. Oh yeah, '06 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne is always a winner. Just popped....color definitely a deep yellow/pale orange. No oxidation on the nose; letting it sit for a while.

Earlier in the week:

2014 Judge Saugvignon Blanc was an oxidized mess.....completely shot.

But the 13 Compagni Portis that replaced it is gorgeous....citrus, floral with a crisp acidity. Perfect with some crab cakes.

Weird, it worked for me, Maybe they changed it after too many ppl used it. Their pretext is that Zalto backed out and "will not ship if the Karma code is used". But they should have mentioned the exclusions as part of the promotion and if it worked for some they should have the Customer Service 101...

So I pinged them on trying to purchase a 6 pack of the champagne glasses and this was not long after Michael's post. I reached out to them and after several emails they refused to honor it even though there were no exclusions listed for the Karma code. Pretty weak customer service IMHO.
