Joe, that looks similar to mine. I went with traditional individual bottle racking, but I wish I did what you did instead and had them made as custom wood shelving. You can probably squeeze more bottles in, and you have more flexibility with OWC's, magnums and .375's. I may have even gone with soli...

I have drunk all but two bottles of the 2011 vintage of napa cabs and I have zero regrets. It allowed me the ability to drink less of the 2012 and pretty much leave 2013 vintage alone.

Boom! Nobody is forced to stay in any one place. This is a big country. You can go cut your teeth somewhere other than Seattle for a few years and gain experience and higher wages, move back at a latter date. Or try renting smaller places on the outskirts and commute into the city. Too many options...

We need to start a group who will adhere to the same guidelines when rating a wine. 85 is not a score that says do not swallow. That is a 70-75. But people don't want to attach these low scores to a wine and then their user identity.

I brought a 2015 Becklyn Napa Cab to a small Get together. About five people. It was awesome. Once that was gone they poured 2015 Folie à Deux Cabernet Sauvignon Ménage à Trois. I worked very hard to drink that one glass. Once I got through it my palate was shot.
