I have one 2008 left. It is the same shorter bottle as the one on the right of your picture.

Re: Mezcal advice?

Go to cocktail for me is a Del Maguey Santo Domingo Old Fashioned.

2 oz. mezcal
1/4 oz simple syrup
angostura and mole bitters

For mixinng Vida is most used. Though I like Del Maguey Minero for mixing too.

Re: Cellar Management Systems that Map Bottle Locations

What is wrong with the "Bin" field in Cellartracker? Come up with whatever scheme that says where a bottle is and place it in that field. Are you saying it is not "user friendly enough"?

Re: 2017 Carter Cellars Offering

Just back home after a quick trip up to Carter for a tasting of the 2017 wines. Spent a couple hours tasting through most of the lineup with Mark Carter. He was a great host and his wines as always were some of my favorite cabs from Napa. Tasted, Fortuna, Weitz, Carter, La Bam, Three Kings, Grand Da...

Re: Carter Cellars 2017 Release

Just spoke with Dan at Carter. He said there was some impact on their fruit, but it did not make it into the wine that will be bottled. So, probably fewer bottle production this year. I was calling to see if I could taste some on my visit to Napa on Friday and see how they fared. He said, though the...

Re: Another Napa Thread....

So, going up on Friday. Ended up with stopping my Macdonald in the morning and then Pride early afternoon. See how I'm feeling after Pride with temp and car full of wine. Thank you again for the suggestion. If I don't get to some of the ones I haven't visited this time, I'll work on getting to them ...

Re: Another Napa Thread....

Thanks Theorem sounds interesting. I hadn't heard that one before. I've been in the Bay Area for 25 years and head up every few months as it's only 45 minutes... So, have hit the usual over the years.... Mondavi, Shafer, AO,, etc... So, looking something new and interesting. Regardless, thank you fo...

Another Napa Thread....

Feel like I've been to most wineries worth visiting. But, always hope there is something new and interesting. So, any recommendations? Just a day trip. Need to pick up wine at Pride. Hot weather is supposed to break next week. Taste profile....... Napa I buy from Pride, Myriad, Quivet, Carter, River...

Re: Does anybody buy Pride Wines anymore?

Buy every red since 1999. Have 9 cases to pick up. They will store your wine on site til you're ready to pick up. Amazing customer service. Great people. One of the best winery tours in Napa with a great picnic site. First real "oh that's what good wine is". Oh... actually dont buy the syrah. Too ma...

2 Days In Napa (Myriad/Quivet/Carter, Pride, Outpost, Realm)

Got away for a nice midweek visit to Napa. Had some wine to pick up at Carter so thought I would head up for a couple of days from the Bay Area. No special notes in particular, just a listing of wines we tasted. Mostly correct I think, though the Myriad/Quivet ones I am a little fuzzy on remembering...

Alban Fall 2013 Offer?

I received the offer last week. Sadly I was only offered the Viogner and no Lorraine or Seymour. My offerings have significantly dwindled over the years. I once was offered everything and now it seems like I get offered some whites and the Reva only.

Pride, Corison, Plumpjack/Cade, Alpha Omega Visit

Recently spent a day up in Napa. My nephew turned 21 and wanted to go to Napa, so he and his father came out from the East Coast. Spent Friday in San Francisco having great cocktails at Tradition and Bourbon & Branch. I don't have any formal notes from Saturday in Napa, just general impressions... W...

Napa Visit for 21 year old

Thanks for the responses/suggestions. My nephew is a very responsible kid and doesn't appear to do a lot of drinking. Though, appearances can be deceiving. So, I don't think he/we will be up for 8 tastings in a day. I think 4 solid tasting would be good so looking to fill in the afternoon. He is a b...

Napa Visit for 21 year old

My nephew is coming out from the east coast for his 21st birthday and per his request he wants to go to Napa. Planning on spending a day in Napa and then heading back to the East Bay. Was going to start at Pride with a vineyard tour and end at Alpha Omega as I have some Era to pick up. Any recommend...
