Re: A wine night in Charlotte

Agree with above, dine mostly in the uptown/southend area and can't remember anywhere I've dined that had $0 corkage policy. While I've not been charged before I can’t remember asking and being told corkage is $0. I have only in rare occasion called ahead of time and been told corkage is not allowed...

I used wine racks America for a 2k bottle cellar and was very happy with the design, service (a rack got 'lost' in transit, and quantity for the price. Be warned, putting it all together is no small task.

Thanks for the message Russ. Instead of everyone calling, it seems that Mark Thompson suggested a good alternative. I was at a high end restaurant in Paris 2 weeks ago. Wife wanted a glass with dinner so I got a bottle. Waiter kept filling both glasses every 5 minutes and kept putting more and more in hers. I poured some in mine, he came over and scolded me, took the bottle away from me and put in on a chair 10 f...

Alright you Meatetarians,

What are you guys doing with your custom chunks of meat (107/109 and primal) from BD? I got a 109 and am on the fence, probably 30-35 days as I'm not a huge fan of extended aging. No idea on my cuts yet. What are you guys doing?

I've only ever seen one or two wineries that let you choose fedex or ups when you order, any idea why more don't do this? I have to imagine the volume discounts would apply to both, and would allow you to choose who does better locally.
