Virtual Tasting Nicora 4/21

Thank you Jon for your thoughts and I hope the wine continues to open up a bit for you throughout the evening. These wines are made with little to no oxygen introduced during fermentation. I manually punch everything down by hand and incorporate no pump-over throughout the process. I feel this saves...

Virtual Tasting Nicora 4/21

Hi John & Emily,

What great tasting notes and I can see we have similar thoughts on the tasting notes. I did use a handful (15%) of whole clusters on this fermentation. I feel it adds a bit of spice and helps it fill out the mouthfeel from front to back.
Thanks for your input!

Virtual Tasting Nicora 4/21

Hi WB's! Some of you were able to get the 3-pack of wine I sent out for Berserker Day and now I would like to put together a Virtual Tasting of one of the wines. I feel that the 2010 Buxom Syrah will be a good candidate for this and would like to invite everyone to join in. Some of you may have miss...

Mini Virtual Tasting Days - BerserkerDay Offers

Hi Everyone! I am contemplating the idea of having a Virtual Tasting for all of those that were able to receive some of the NICORA wine on Berserker Day. I am thinking it should be in about 2 weeks as the wine does need a little bit of time after traveling and that should allow everyone to be on boa...

Re: Double decanting

I too feel that a double decant is beneficial, mainly to a young wine. With the oxygen integrating sooner it really opens up the wine without blowing off those precious aromas if you place the cork back in. I may be a bit hesitant on some older vintages and might like to watch the wine transform in ...

Re: Decanting advice- Cayuse 09 BF and 07 En Chamberlin, SQN Poker Face

^ I agree you can always decant longer if it hasn't opened up yet, plus I love to watch/taste the wine evolve throughout the decant. To me that adds to the mystique and beauty while trying to break down or open up a wine. Nice choices BTW. [thumbs-up.gif]

This is absurd and pretty scary, I can't believe that the POS companies aren't doing more to protect the retailers. The fees and such could get out of hand before someone ever noticed. I enter all of my sales through GoPayment then check to make sure it cleared before I ship. However I am still a ve...

Here is what I usually use on the very wet days of winemaking, they are low profile but very comfortable and 100% waterproof. I got tired of my boots fermenting half way through harvest so I bought these last year with great results and couldn't be happier. Happy Feet! http://www.lacrossefootwear.co...

Re: Wine 101 Feature: Decanter cleaning suggestions

If I have a few stubborn spots I will throw some rock salt in the decanter and give it a few swirls with hot water then a rinse with RO water to minimize the hard water spots. I try to make sure it is rinsed every time before the night is over also.

Hi everyone 1st post here so I guess I'm a fresh Berserker here on the boards. It was hard for me to locate any positive comments about the Square customer service so I just c...
